Kids’ rooms are soooo much fun to decorate. You can just let your inner child play; there are no rules!
Here are a few little-people spaces that caught our eye…
We love the simplicity of just one, large photographic print on the wall of this serene little nursery. And the classic New Zealand Sheepskin Rug takes us back to our own childhood…
This room packs loads of fun and personality, but because the colour palette is a mix of grey, white and sand, the overall effect is still very soothing and stylish.
Now here’s an idea to keep a kid’s room from looking constantly messy – set out most of the art, toys and knick-knacks on one colourful, fun wall… and leave the other walls cleaner and uncluttered.
So many awesome features in this room! Dotty duvet, a bright yellow cot, that bunny lamp, and the mini art print ‘gallery wall’. LOVE!
What a cute idea for a reading nook! There’s our Sheepskin Rug again, a few cushions and a softie, and some simple shelving on which to display fave books (plus some art prints and toys on the highest shelf).
Adorable mid-century flavour kid’s room! Love the globe hanging from the ceiling, matched with the vintage map art print. And those vintage games (far left) make great pieces of wall art, too!
Where do we begin? We’d love this room for ourselves! Fave bits: circular rug, the harlequin wallpaper (just one wall is enough), the parade of animal toys along the shelf line…
We think a bookself – with books facing outwards – is a must in a kid’s bedroom. If you have nothing else to decorate the walls, the book covers themselves become graphic art!
